Ridderorden

Wednesday the 4th of July: a day with a orange tint. We could organise the annual meeting of the 'Koninklijke vereniging van leden der Nederlandse Ridderorden' (people honoured with a royal mark).

The morning program was at Stadsschouwburg De Harmonie. After lunch, the 500 guests experienced the cultural capital of Europe: Leeuwarden. There were many choices: a visit of the Fries Museum or ceramics museum (Princessehof), a tour through the Blokhuispoort (old prison) with a presentation about the eleven cities ice skating tour, a boat tour through the canals of Leeuwarden with a visit of Lân fan Taal (land of language) or a boattour through the âlde Feanen or Dokkumer Ee.
