Fryslân Dei

The value of a lesser used language
in the European context

The Province of Fryslân invites you for the Fryslân Dei in Brussels; a day for and with countries, regions and cities.

In 2018 Leeuwarden-Fryslân was European Capital of Culture and ‘Lân fan Taal’ (Country of Language) has emerged. With as a starting point: “All languages are equal and language is boundless”. The purpose is to let language live, to play with language and to speak out.

We would like to celebrate our language and think with you about the future. In an active morning program, the intellect will be excited by science, the creative brain by poetry and music. Let us surprise and inspire you. Let us make you think.
