On the 12th of September 2018, there was the grand opening of trainstation Mantgum. With new, dimded LED lighting, which was opened by commissioner of the king Arno Brok.
The light can be dimmed by 30 per cent of the available strength, when there are no people on the station. Mantgum is the first 'dark' station of Friesland.
